JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Site Civil Technician, you will contribute to the execution of dike and tailings facility projects, ensuring that work is carried out on time, on budget and to quality and safety standards.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Supervise field work to ensure compliant execution of dam and tailings facility construction projects;
- Check and validate technical drawings and specifications, ensuring that they comply with established standards and specifications;
- Carry out regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve technical problems and ensure compliance with quality standards;
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to report on progress, obstacles encountered and solutions found;
- Actively participate in site meetings, providing technical recommendations and ensuring proactive risk management;
- Monitor the supply of materials required for job sites and check that they comply with specifications;
- Perform all other related tasks associated with the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- DEC in civil engineering or equivalent training;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising major civil worksites, ideally in the mining sector (dams and tailings ponds);
- Excellent skills in coordinating work on complex projects;
- Good knowledge of standards and regulations governing civil engineering works in mining environments;
- Strong skills in reading and validating technical drawings and specifications.
